Clone SSDs

Hi, I have a Surface pro 4 that has a broken screen. The SP4 has been stripped down and the screen removed, before replacing the scree I thought that I should upgrade the SSD from a 256gb to 1Tb SSD while still open.

I'd like some assistance, how can I clone the old SSD with the new one now that I cannot boot up the SP4?

Usually this is done with an external, very inexpensive USB hard drive enclosure. Hundreds of brands are available out there, many of which should be adaptable to a SSD.

min any case, cloning should indeed be possible.
