Can't revert back from windows 10 to 8.1

Hello everyone,

First time poster, long time lurker.

Anyway, I need help reverting my surface pro 3 back from windows 10 technical preview to windows 8.1.

I tried the simple, "rollback" option in the settings, but it won't work for me. It states that the files it needs to rollback have been deleted. I haven't personally deleted any files from my computer, since installing the previews. My windows.old folder is still present and full.

Is there any way to revert back?

I had same problem, had to download the recovery image from Microsoft and put on USB.

When recovering make sure to remove you micro sd card. It gave me nothing but problems leaving it in.

It takes a bit of unluck to get to the point I am at.

The above method won't even work for me, Microsoft can't locate the serial number. I guess Ill have to call them today to fix the issue, or ask for a replacement.
