Windows 8.1 support run many apps at the same time. I saw they run 5 apps at the same time but I try with my Surface RT it can run only 2 apps.
Why it can't run many apps? due to screen resolution?
Desktop mode multitasking, however, is still completely MDI. What people have done to get three apps together on a Surface RT is to use the desktop (e.g. desktop version IE horizontal or vertical to a Word document) and then snap a Metro app to the side.
