I'm operating my Surface with Windows 8.1. It was given to me by a friend who was disappointed with it. Maybe foolishly, I thought that the detached screen could be operated like a tablet, but I find that I need a mouse for some functions--such as closing a page. Tapping on the x in the upper right hand corner with my finger does nothing. Is this normal or am I missing something?
Can not close pages by tapping the x's
