Can I make Google stop nagging me about Chrome!

Ok sometime in late spring, Google decided that EVERY-FREAKING-TIME I visit YouTube or GMail or Google Voice with the Edge browser, they will **ahem** gently remind me that there's a better browser to use with their products called Chrome, and please won't I consider downloading it?......and they make me click out of that little X in the corner before I proceed. Is there any way to stop this incessant Google "We're Never Evil" nagging?

I get that on my desktops too, and Chrome is installed, just not being used at the time. According to Google that banner prompt is temporary, We'll see. I don't think there is a way to stop it.
