This issue just started when the last update was available. I restarted and let the tablet do it's routine update. Now whenever I go to play any video stored in my SD card, it says any video file is corrupt or the wrong format. I have not removed my SD card since buying the tablet and have already tried a handful of different video playing apps. All videos I try to play through Internet Explorer work perfectly normal. Any help?!!!!!

Welcome to the forum

Did any of them EVER play from that SD card? My feeling is that the card is either corrupt or bad. Try a chkdsk on it to see if any problems crop up.

I use a SD card to store all my media files for my Surface Book. I have no problems. No make sure that you have video player assinged to the specific file as I've heard some people say the defaults app get changed after some MS updates. If you try to click on the video file a list of players fro that specific file type will show in the list.
