Apple dvd drive

I have an Apple dvd drive which I'm trying to get to work with my SP4.
Based on advice and what I'd read I had assumed the problem was lack of power to the USB port, but I've just tried it with a powered USB hub and it still doesn't work.
Any ideas?

The Apple Superdrive DVD is a USB 3 device, which will work with Windows 8 or 10, provided you install the appropriate driver.
I use mine with the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 3.

Thanks. I've installed AppleODDInstaller64.zip and at least now it is accepting the disk (a step forward from before). But it is unable to read it and spits it out soon after.
