I am no networking guru, but why the need to connect via Bluetooth for this? I connect my Surface RT to my iPhone 5 personal hotspot via normal WiFi connection using the wireless networking connection without any issues.

jnjroach, did you have to do anything special to get good performance out of your Adonit Jot? I purchased a Jot Flip a month or so ago based on the repeated thumbs up it seems to have received. However, I find the performance on my RT to be terrible. It skips while inking, isn't recognized...

I am using a SanDisk 64GB SDXC as well. I have the Windows 8.1 preview release installed and haven't had any issues with it (in fact, I would say it works better than on 8.0).

Have you tried syncing your app licenses? Anytime I have a difficult time with the windows store apps such as: unable to open, unable to purchase (even if it is free), unable to update - I just sync the app licenses and it fixes the problem. You can find instructions on how to do that here...
