Probably not what you wanted to hear, but my MacBook works perfectly with BaseCamp.

    Surface Pro 4 - wishlists!

My wish with the SP4 is to play Star Wars: Battlefront at a decent FPS and default screen res. I don't expect to see that happen though.

I suspect there might be some lag with the Surface 3 when zooming and such. Wouldn't expect any issue with the SP3 though.

With cloud-based apps, there's really no limitation. Outlook isn't a requirement to get to your email, as iOS mail supports Exchange. And you have to have some way to keep apps updated, even in Windows. Sounds like you just didn't know what iPad apps were available that would suit your needs...

I wouldn't expect high settings. In fact, I'd be happy with low settings at 720p resolution if the minimum frame rate was > 30 FPS.

I think the majority of this thread was about comparing productivity, which actually is relevent. ;)

Thanks for that thread link, I'll check it out. But I'm currently playing Skyrim and Battlefield 3. Social media apps with notification capability. Although BlueStacks has been released for Windows 8 now, which will supposedly allow the Pro to run virtually any Android app. That might be a...

Games on the Pro - Please post experiences here.

Interesting thread. I'd be interested in knowing how the Surface Pro can handle Skyrim and Battlefield 3.

re Exactly what limitations were you encountering? My iPad is also my own personal device and not expensed, though I bring it into work as well. Interesting with CloudOn (for Word, Excel and Powerpoint) and OneNote for my iPad - I have no need for a pen and paper at meetings. I get back to...

And you're quite wrong in this regard. Do you think corporations and the government are adopting iPads because they're toys? But the Surface Pro finally brings desktop-like productivity to a tablet. Competition in this segment is definately needed, and I'm looking forward to see what comes...

What Windows 8 Hybrids are you considering?

I'm still interested in the Surface Pro, but the Lenovo Thinkpad Helix looks even better with 4G, NFC, better battery life, backlit keyboard and a larger screen. I think Lenovo's delay with the Helix has to do with them getting the lower voltage Ivy Bridge processors that Microsoft didn't get a...

With my iPad 3 I use CloudOn for Excel, Word and Powerpoint work. This app provides cloud-based (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, Skydrive) access to your files, and provides a touch-based interface to the Office apps. Yes, you can play games and everything else you mention - but it's also an...

    Surface RT and PRO :D

My bad then - I thought it was just a touch mouse and didn't offer gesture control.

But the wedge mouse won't replace a touchscreen monitor. ;)

Another option instead of getting a touchscreen monitor, is a touchpad, just in case you don't want fingerprints all over your main display. This Logitech T650 touchpad has gotten good reviews.

Possible to sync Surface Pro calendar to Outlook Exchange calendar?

Okay, I think I figured this out. If the Pro's email app is the same as the Windows 8 Metro email app, and I'm pretty sure it is, then I'm good to go. I have Windows 8 Pro on my home desktop PC, and I added my work's Exchange email account to the Metro email app on my PC. That worked just as...

Possible to sync Surface Pro calendar to Outlook Exchange calendar?

Okay, I'll try and simplify this. I just want to have the Windows 8 Metro calendar app show my work calendar appointments and such, I don't care about email just the calendar. We use Exchange and Office 2010 at my work. Maybe this isn't possible with the default calendar app, but that's what...

Possible to sync Surface Pro calendar to Outlook Exchange calendar?

I don't currently have Office or Outlook on my home PC, and I really didn't want that added expense right now. I'm still debating picking up a Surface Pro at this point, and am just trying find out it's capabilities. That Apple's iOS devices and built-in apps allow me to sync with my work...
