Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

As a follow-up to the issue of this thread: After the Windows Update of 7/13/2016 (KB3173428) & the Cumulative Update of 7/14//2016 (KB3172985), the issue I was having has completely been resolved. I did nothing else besides; no refresh, reset, Powershell, etc. And the subscription to Office...

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

Actually, I can right click, go to More, and Run as Admin for all 4 of them. Anyway, I probably will do a Refresh, unless someone else has any other ideas. I will need to wait a few days anyway, when I can find some time. Thanks for the help though.

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

I tried it again, and same thing. But I tried the (x86) Powershell this time. It looked identical. This is what it looks like after I hit enter:

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

This is what I see for the Powershell apps. As I said, I chose the top one. But I will try it again.

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

No. It just went to the next line.

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't seem to get a notification of your last response. Anyway, I tried doing as you said. I opened the Windows Powershell as Admin (although I had 4 different PowerShell apps to choose from; I just selected the top one) and copied and pasted the code exactly as...

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

Everything seems to be logged in fine; on the Surface, and the Microsoft account and One Drive. Though I am not sure what you mean by validating your account on the Surface? By the way, I had Office 365 on this Surface which expired recently, along with the free Onedrive storage. So I have no...

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

Okay, I did this. There was no change. Is there another step involved? Thanks

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

I ran this also, it "completed successfully", but nothing changed. What should I do next? By the way, the Mail and Calendar apps do show up in the apps list (and the list of live tiles in the start menu), they just don't show up on the task bar (but are blanked out). They are still there...

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

How do I reinstall from the Store? When I go there, it says its already installed By the way, I did restart & ran the sfc / scannow, from the Admin Command Prompt. (I assume that is what you mean by elevated. Nothing showed up, so this did not help. Any other ideas? Thanks

Solved Mail & Calendar App for Windows 10 disappeared

Hello all, I tried to search the Microsoft Support sight and couldn't find the help I needed. So I am posting here. Would anyone know why the Mail & Calendar apps for Windows 10 would suddenly disappear (from the task bar) and how to fix them? They no longer work, though I can select them...

Solved Rear Camera Light always on

Thanks for the Reply Telstar1948. Thankfully the light turned itself off. I don't know why. But I guess it doesn't matter at this point. I wonder if the camera was on in another profile, and I just didn't realize it was open and that I had to go to that profile and close it. The only thing...

Solved Rear Camera Light always on

Hello all, I have a problem (which occurred before one of the last cumulative updates) where the rear camera light stays on, even after a reboot. I don't see anything in the Task Manager indicating that the light should be on. The camera app also no longer works, and gives an error when you...

Multiple User Accounts on Surface 3 in Windows 10

My Surface 3 is set-up using multiple users with Windows 10. And there are a couple of annoyances I've noticed. On the login screen (using a picture password), it is not apparent how to switch to the other user(s). At first I couldn't switch users at all unless I logged in and switched from...

Snapping Windows on Surface 3 in Windows 10

You can't snap in portrait even in "desktop" mode? I am able to. And yes, this is the Surface 3, not the pro.

Snapping Windows on Surface 3 in Windows 10

Hughlle, You're right. There doesn't seem to be any difference that I could tell between the typical desktop applications and the MUI applications, not that I can tell anyway. Perhaps GreyFox7 is correct, but at least I could not find any "practical" differences in regards to window snapping...

Snapping Windows on Surface 3 in Windows 10

That's funny. Now when I try snapping by dragging a window to the left or right of the screen (landscape only), the snap feature works. I'm pretty positive it didn't work a few days ago; which is why I thought dragging to the top must be how it worked. Now this seems to work fine whenever I...

Snapping Windows on Surface 3 in Windows 10

I installed Windows 10 on my Surface 3 and I have been using it since Thursday. I have to say, after some getting used to, I actually enjoy more than Windows 8.1 overall, despite tablet mode's unfinished feel (this took a couple days since I loved the fluidity with which I could use the Surface...

    Capacitive Button not waking SP3

One thing to note is that if you have sticky keys turned on, the capacitive windows button will take two presses to register in most cases. This annoyed me, so I turned off sticky keys, and the button works normal again.
