Mine's all setup, personalized and cozy. If you have another Windows 8 machine all your settings just sync. It's sweet. Now to give this thing some real attention. -joe-

    Surface Already Shipping??

Mine is about 50 miles away (in Tampa) just waiting. Supposed to be here by 1030 tomorrow. Odd thing is it's still "In Process" on the store and I haven't been charged for it yet. Go figure. -joe-

Syncing a Windows Phone to Surface

Heh. Yeah, but you gotta admit, MD-Walkmans were freakin' cool. As a matter of fact, I dragged mine out about a month ago (just because I "found" it) and played it. God that thing sounded fantastic. Actually better than any iPod or iPhone. Back on topic; it'd be cool to be able to sync my Lumia...

    Surface Already Shipping??

Yeah, I think we're all doing the same thing. I called MS Store myself. They gave me the same answer, "it'll be here by the 26th. You should receive an email saying it's shipped either today or tomorrow." Ho hum. We'll see. -joe-

    Difference Between the Two Surfaces

Well don't be a dick. As a matter of fact, RT in the context of Surface does not stand for runtime. It more than likely stands for nothing. Just catchy. See linked Wikipedia article. Note the third line of text. Windows RT -joe-

    Difference Between the Two Surfaces

You are exactly right (of course). It normally is one word. I just split it because it "flows" better in a sig. ;P Thought Experiment -joe-

Can Windows Pro Run Windows RT Program?

To continue J515OP's train of thought. By creating a correctly written app for Windows 8 (i.e. Metro or whatever Microsoft is calling it now) it should be extremely easy to port it to all versions of Windows 8 (Pro, RT and Windows Phone 8). That's massive. If they really pull it off it'll push...

    Touch Cover vs Type Cover

The few people that have actually touched the Touch Cover and used it a bit say it's pretty good. They all seem to agree you can type faster on it than the onscreen keyboard. As far as the Type Cover, I haven't seen anything specific about how it feels (other than what was said at the Keynote)...

    Top 5 Killer Apps

Agree with J515OP. This is a Microsoft device. Therefore it should be the same as a Signature Device. No bloat or crap ware. Thank the lord! -joe-

    Difference Between the Two Surfaces

The problem is that about 90 percent of the information on both of these products is speculation. Microsoft has been so tight-lipped about them it's crazy. I mean even when they did the release they wouldn't let the press hold them for more than a few minutes. They couldn't even touch them...
