Sorry for not getting back to this thread to let everyone know what's going on. We took the Surface Pro 3 to a Microsoft Store. It turns out that it had to do with a Windows 10 update/upgrade. He managed to get it booted somehow and downloaded some application from the Microsoft website that...

I tried the freezer method, with no joy. I left it in the freezer for about 15 minutes before pulling it out and immediately plugging it in and using the power button. Same results as before.

I wish I could thumbs-up that. =]

Still nothing. Is there perhaps a tool I can download and load on to a USB drive and boot from? Some super fancy Microsoft fix-all?

Just tried this. Nothing happened. I guess it should be noted that nothing at all changes on the screen at any point during any attempt. Only once did the screen ever turn on since any of this occurred and it was, I think, a fluke. Tried this as well, same results.

Tried plugging the Surface Pro 3 into the power without the keyboard and pressing the power button. No joy. The magnet area and metal pins that the keyboard connects to also looks fine, cleaned it anyway without any change. I do have access to a Microsoft Store, I'm getting the feeling that...
