Netuser, I have a solution for you because it worked for me. Go into Settings>Accounts>Sign-in Options>Windows Hello. Remove your scan and go through the facial recognition process again. As I said, it worked for me. Good luck and report back what happens

Just wanted to let everyone know that I went through the process that Surfacebook160 suggested and it appears to have fixed all of my issues. When I turn on the Book, the camera comes on and automatically logs me in, when I press the "detach" button the detach indication comes on as expected...

Another issue that I have is the screen will dim after a period of time and there is no way bring the screen brightness back to what it was before the dimming happened
