When i use my pen on my sp4 i can see the screen sort of flexing with the pressure, screen goes like a grey color around the pen tip...

I was just browsing this forum and my sp4 just went black screen and it wouldnt wake up had to hold power and vol up button. Any ideas what caused it anybody had the same issue?

No mate, first time its happened that im aware of, our lass shouted me down stairs as the fan was loud...

Just closed my sp4 up, went upstairs came down to the fan running and the back of the sp hot. Any ideas to what might course this, as i closed it i had Firefox still open with only this forum open and ebay.

I have that on my phone and its pretty good, im going to give it a whirl on my sp4...

Yeah i agree with nuttyone the fresh paint program is good enough for me with limited skills, it probably abit too limited for a artist...

Thanks for replys. Ive found a old samsung slim line writer, needs 2 usb sockets so ive ordered a Y cable to see if it works...

Read some dont work as the usb cant supply enough power. Any body have one that works? Or is it best to get a mains powered one?

Yeah its doing my head in, ive set it to hibernate now after 1 hour of sleep, the battery is the only thing now other than that loving my surface...

Im having battery draining fast and draining in sleep mode issues, other issues i was having have been addressed..

yeah think im going to use hibernate aswell, set it to hibernate 30min into sleep or something.

Yours is very similar to mine, im getting about 10% drain per hour though. Hopefully Microsoft address this soon, frustrating none the less. unless somebody has some other potential solutions we can try?

i have the i5 4gb model, i just dont need double the storage space. my usage is same as your bar office programs, working great for me its very quick, ive used it alot to stream games from my xbox one aswell.

Still draining is sleep mode with new driver and and wifi off on battery power Closed the sp4 up last night at 11pm with 68% battery, come to it this morning at 9.30am and it had 27% battery.

right got that to work thanks. but I don't really know what I'm looking at edit, seems the gpu and cpu are draining the batter in sleep, gpu been worse offender.
