now that Win10 is released, I'm looking forward to seeing any new features they have in mind to add along the journey.

I got to run an operating system from the future for months. That was my reward. And knowing that Microsoft actually listened to many of the things we gave them as insiders - from bugs to tweaks/suggestions.

I think that 1) there will not be mass conversion on launch day, which will allow for more feedback, bug patching, etc. Yes, many will upgrade, but when you think about the total number of Windows computers worldwide, it will be a smaller fraction for a while. 2) we are much more power users...

To me, Windows 8 is in the same category as Windows ME and Windows Vista in poor versions.

I created a script to do 0% right on the desktop -- double click and done for those rare times I need it that low (in bed for example).

Mine is not an upgrade from 8.1 Also, the firmware acted like it would install now. It offered the reboot instead of the error code. After a reboot I went back to Windows Update and it still shows available. So, it seems it didn't take (I also didn't get the updating screen during the boot up)...

Yep, same error for me on the July firmware.

No issues like that with mine yet. I don't have a dock, though.

To be honest, I never used Microsoft's builtin photo viewer. I always used 3rd party apps (such as irfan)

I just checked on my Mac's VirtualBox install of 10240 and on my SP3 - both are missing it. Looks like it is no longer part of Windows 10 and may have just been a remnant of Windows 8.1 for some users.

Oh, sorry. I didn't know about that. Perhaps I'll put a request with the developer and see if that is something they could implement.

I left it to the default 1 hour. I was testing it with manually selecting "next background". But, while typing this it just updated and the color around the image changed.

Interesting. I'll have to keep an eye on that, but so far it is properly changing the colors for me.

One of my favorite features of that is how it changes the background color to match the image when the photo is centered.

Not sure if you heard of this app, but love it to randomize my wallpaper. http://johnsad.ventures/software/backgroundswitcher/ You can tell it to use local photos or ones on the Internet and even what type of photos it is allowed to display.
