Not true. Asus t100 is much faster than Surface 3 for waking up . It was comparable to ipad.

I'm kind of bummed with the slower wakeup time on the Surface also. Asus T100 was much faster (Like Android or ipad). I think because it had connected standby. Surface 3 seems to go into a deeper sleep mode to get the advertised standby time.

I use outlook 2013 on my surface 3. Seems to work well.

Went to the Microsoft retail store near me. I guess their stock is newer. The surface pens at the Microsoft store all came with the Pen Loop, even the Silver one.

Went back to Best Buy. Looks like the Silver pens, that are for the Surface Pro don't have the loop. The other colors that came out for the Surface3/pro3 all have a picture of a loop on the back and say they come with the loop. Not sure if there are any silver pens that come with a loop, but...
