Just to say that suddently, after I don't know which update, everything started working again... But after months!

Just to be precise, I called Microsoft and they ask 450 €, like said by leshay... So they are telling me: throw it or keep it with dongle. I don't think it's a fair behaivour, considering you can find a new SP3 for 600. But anyway I still have to cool off.

Yes, I think it's a hardware issue. I also read this post Dead Marvel Wireless Controller? Any Ideas? Exactly the same thing. I own it since Dec 2014, no warranty anymore, and I don't think that an SP3 deserves some hundreds of euros for reparation...

Nothing to do, also after last cumulative update (KB4013418 and KB4013429), no difference. Bluetooth is still with "Device descriptor request failed". Wifi not working. Pity, I'm getting convinced it's a hardware failure.

I have it since 10 months. Since two months it is more insisting. I tried with compress air to clean it but maybe it's just a bit better. I don't want to send it to Microsoft because I know it means more than one week...

Does your surface have an annoying noise like a click coming from upper right part of the screen? it happens more in vertical tablet position and when you change app. I saw also a video on YouTube it's really annoying... at least with me... it freaks me out :)

It sees networks, I can surf with limited connectivity and after rebooting or sleep it forgets the password. And anyway I had me too poor connectivity compared with other devices. Honestly wifi is super bugged, terrible. I like SP3 but I refuse to buy a wifi dongle...

The strange thing is that I can surf on internet, network is OK, but it almost always says "Limited connectivity" and it loses almost always wifi passwords...

30% is a peak, I have just rebooted now and load is under 10% but fan throttles. Not maximum speed but it doesn't stop. It wasn't like this for the first 4 months! I'm using Firefox, Chrome melts the CPU and IE is super bugged.
