Make it more powerful, cooler, quieter, a tad lighter and you have a winner. I'm fine with the size of it, just enough screen real estate to do "work". Improve the n-trig precision a little more, bundle a smarter charger (real USB port, and Ethernet on the brick).

You're comparing apples and oranges, you cannot get a gaming PC for the same price as the PS4 or the xbox one (let alone with a controller). You wouldn't get access to the same library of games designed to run on that hardware. And the fact is Sony made their controller Windows compatible.

does the controller show up in the windows bluetooth devices?

AFAIK the PS4 controller is windows compatible, it's just that most games expect a x360 or xbox one controller.

I wouldn't mind buying an extra charger if they made one with an Ethernet port and the USB port that actually acted as a 2nd USB3 port for the Surface. That would eliminate the need to buy the docking station for me.
