yes, and that is Danish as I have installed the Danish language pack, secondary language in the "language" settings is English, so as far as I can see there is no relation to the original language (Spanish) - so it goes deeper :)

No - will only change the UI, there will still be referene to the original language. The solution is; contact support and ask them to give a new recovery image - I'm trying that as we speak.
