Mine has done exactly the same thing when I went back from W10. I did a fresh install when I realised but the menus are still the same. The best I have managed is setting the background colour and accent colour to a light grey in the personalise section when in the start screen and this changes...

Nope I can't work it out! Upgraded to 10 but the pen click does not open 2013 no matter how I set the defaults.

Hi, does Windows 10 let you select what version of OneNote opens when you click the SP3 pen button? I tried the preview version back in June and it wouldn't open OneNote 2013. (Which is what I prefer to use.) Thanks

After a bit of help - sorry if this is in the wrong place. I've completed a fresh install on my surface pro 3 of 8.1 and run all of the updates. I've tried to update to Windows 10 via the installer but it doesn't show up. Any thoughts? Shall I just install via an ISO?

I was really hoping that the new iTunes would look crisp on my SP3 but it still looks awful. I guess it serves me right for buying a device with such a beautiful display!

I use the OneNote app on my iPhone to take photos of docs etc. Just swipe across to document or whiteboard setting in the camera mode. Seems to work very similarly to OfficeLens.

Yep I agree it's not great. It's a real shame you have to add to your workflow but I agree - using your phone is the way forward. I either use onenote on my iPhone and select the document option or add the photo to onedrive.

Yes not missed my MBA or iPad air since swapping 2 weeks ago. I still use my iPhone 5s for the apps I can't run on the SP3. Just set up miracast with VGA adapter so using that in my classroom. The only thing that lets the SP3 down is the fixed focus camera in.

I got a refurb in the UK. Turned up in a padded envelope inside a brown box. It's going straight back as it's in a worse condition than the machine I'm trying to replace!! Ho hum.

Unfortunately the replacement unit Microsoft sent me has a white dot on the screen like someone has pressed their thumb into it really hard. The replacement is going back so will try again!!

Hi. Thanks for the reply - using onenote 2013. That worked for the pen button but not for the clipper or charms share. I have worked around it by exporting the old notebook as a PDF and then deleting it. I renamed my current notebook to match the old one and now everything goes to the correct...

Hi, Is there a way to change the default notebook? Whenever I clip to onenote from the web or use the sharing option in charms it goes to an old notebook that I no longer use. Short of deleting that notebook I'm not sure what to do. Thanks

To be fair it seems a slight breeze will turn on my SP3! Put it to sleep with no type cover attached and returned an hour later to find it on and warm. I don't have any Bluetooth peripherals other than the pen. SP3 being replaced next week so hopefully that will stop it.

Hi, Just a quick question - I have turned off the 'let this device wake the computer' option but still the type cover will wake up the SP3. What else do I need to do to stop this? Keep finding it on and hot in my bag. I'm a teacher so constantly moving from room to room. Thanks.

Thanks for your help. I'm in the UK so have to do the exchange via the online store. I've put in for an advanced exchange so fingers crossed that sorts it. (I think people thought I was mad constantly rubbing my SP3;))
