Yea, Google and MS don't play well together. IE and Google+ = heat and fan and sometimes camera shutting off. Sucks. Len

That assumes all units were sold direct by MS...... that's not true. So there are more units sold than you calculate. Len

Go on line and search for a copy of Win 8.0. I did this and was able to upgrade from 7.0 to 8.0. it preserved all my apps and data. Then upgrade from 8.0to 8.1. Stupid, but it works. Len

I turn it off when an update requires it. I put it in the dock overnight. Len

I've actually got two one-drive accounts, one tied to my original MS account, and one tied to my business and my office 365 SBP subscription . I don't shoot many pics w the iPhone. Len

Re contacts, email and calendar. I have office 365 small business premium, which comes w exchange mail..... auto syncs all that w the iPhone. Len

If its the desktop version, tap the top grey section and it will drop down.... if you want to lock it down, hit the icon on the lower right corner of the drop down ribbon Len

I've repeatedly had my SP3 pen stop working. I'll be handwriting notes in one-note & suddenly it will stoip working. A re-boot solves the problem, but I'd like to know if there is something else I should try. Anyone else? Len

Ive had mone (I7/512) for 5 weeks or so. I've never seen the thermometer icon. I get throttling and the fan when I'm ingesting and rendering raw files onto Lightfoot & when video conferencing (especially on Google+ hangouts). Heavy 9hr/day office user and photographer. No real complaints...

I put the windows button on the top and use the SP 3 like a notepad. Why would you need the kickstand for pen based handwriting note taken? confused. Len
