That should work fine. I just don't trust myself to strip those tiny fan wires. Show us some pics when you're done!

It seems to me that the orientation of the antenna in the pen makes more of a difference than how close the pen is to the screen. Perhaps try adding some wire to the antenna and see what happens.

I've noticed that the closer to perpendicular to the screen the pen is, the less jitter is registered.

Having the base charge the clipboard would be perfect in your situation but alas it doesn't...

Because it costs more ($70+), it's another thing to carry (size, weight and more cords) and the base is capable of doing this.

I figured this was the case, but it would still be great if they gave us the option to enable it understanding the impact on battery life. :(

The clipboard has a pretty short battery life to begin with so when it dies or is almost dead you are stuck using it with the base or with the charge cord attached. It would be great to use it and have the base charge it as the comp sleeps or i flip a toggle to start the base charging it. I...

I'd look in the event history to see if it's a driver crash or potentially a hardware problem.

This duct won't work on the SP4 because they are different thicknesses unfortunately (or fortunately). Not sure on the fan from amazon but any additional airflow will help. Make sure the red wire coming from your USB cable lines up with the red from the fan and same with the black wires...

Unfortunately the connector from the fan is smaller than the ones you linked. But doing what Markbc01 did is always an option. I wish the fan had a bigger connector but i couldn't find a fan that size with a larger connector. This is great! Thanks for posting pics and as long as it works...

This is what I've found as well. The lim-fac on the SP3 is not the CPU temp but the external case temp. You can see in his graph that it still throttles (the jump in power limit throttling) due to the case external temp. Another tell tale is the drop in TDP. Also, what is the time scale on...

Thanks for the feedback Markbc01! Glad it is working so well for you! If you watch with XTU you can see if/why the CPU is throttling, whether it be from thermal, power or external reasons. Let me/us know if you have any other questions/comments.
