I had considered the dock but felt it was too big and overkill for what Im needing - I don't need to have display out etc. On most days I don't even need the Ethernet functionality, but I do rely on the USB quite a bit.

only issue with that approach is that my first surface pro 3 did not have any audio popping at all, neither does my SP1. I did a refresh last week to see if it would help and no dice.

I too hear this now on the replacement SP3 I just received... it'll be a small popping coming from the earphones. I tend to notice it more when I'm moving the track pad or about to press a key. It's slight but it's there and I'm not sure how to solve it.

so after refreshing twice I began to notice that the screen flickers more when Im moving the tablet around , especially if Im moving the kickstand back more than a few degrees or touching the center of the screen, in fact I can now press gently in the center and make the whole screen go black...
