Stick it to the SP3 instead of the felt cover. I put mine on the right side when you are holding it in portrait mode. With the type cover folded back and the slant of the tablet it makes a nice niche for the pen to be in. I might just go with the magnet too though...

I have the SP3 monitor turned off when i'm connected to an external monitor. So how do you set it to automatically scale the UI at 150% when using the SP3 screen and 100% when using an external display?
