Yeah, I tried clearing the cache earlier before resetting the tablet. That didn't help in this case unfortunately.

Decided to do a refresh since I'm guessing nobody else has experienced this issue. After the refresh, back on Windows 8.0. I noticed Modern IE is running much faster. Now I'm installing the updates, Windows 8.1, and Update 1. Will be curious to see if the problem returns after all these updates.

1. Yeah, seems like the keyboard cover should act "smart" and sleep/wake the tablet. But my guess as to why they didn't do this is because there is nothing that keep the cover closed properly and maybe they were concerned about the tablet being woken up too often from the cover accidentally...
