If you touch and hold it takes a second or so for the selection bubble to pop up. It may be just me, but I swear if I touch and immediately drag up, the bubble comes as soon as I hit the edge of the on-screen key.

I would think that rather than go drilling on the pen, I'd sacrifice one of the replacement nibs. Put a very small drop of CA on the end that goes in the barrel, push it in until it contacts the hypothetical broken piece, hold it there for 30 seconds or so then try to pull it out.

Pretty lean is a good word for it. I have Sketchbook Pro and Clip Studio already. Probably will uninstall Bamboo as the others have more functionality for sketching/drawing and OneNote takes care of my notebook/journaling needs.
