I had to continually hit 7 or F7 until it finally rebooted. Once it did I was able to install the package containing the unsigned drivers. The tutorial at How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8.1 (So That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers) was helpful.
