    Surface Pro 4 screen flickering

Hi..I had 2 SP4s that had screen flickering issues. The first one started with flickering in the task bar area similar to your second video. It started as a bit of a nuisance, but it got worse over time. I would definitely send it back while you are under warranty. I think it is definitely a...

Jittering screen on Surface Pro 4

I have had a similar issue for several months and it has been getting progressively worse (it started out of the blue). It started with the bottom half inch of the screen "jittering". In the beginning, it would stop after 5-10 minutes of turning the display on, which I attribute to it warming up...

    Screen Flirting (shake)

    Display Jittering

Within the last few weeks, I have noticed that when I either turn my Surface on or whenever the display wakes up, the bottom inch or so (to just above the task bar) "jitters" up and down significantly to the point where text is almost unreadable. It may be my imagination, but it seems like it...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Thanks..I understand. It just doesn't seem like connected standby is working too well if someone is losing 10-20% battery life in an hour or two when the computer is supposed to be in connected standby. If I have to shut down all of the open APPs to preserve battery life, seems like I might as...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Thanks..not sure if I am understanding your message..doesn't closing all apps before putting the computer to sleep defeat the purpose of having sleep? Or..Are you suggesting that we try to see if it being cause by a certain APP that is left open?

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Seems like you should try turning off WIFI scanning during sleep and see if that does it for you. There is an option for that in the setting menu. Your culprit is much different than mine. I've got the Intel Graphics active over 90% of the time. Thanks for posting.

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

I am a novice at the sleep study report as well, but it does tell you what the "culprits" are for chewing up the battery. I am curious if you run that report whether it tells you it is the Intel Graphics as mine does in every case.

    Display Driver Crashing

I have had this happen as well. It quickly resets itself so it hasn't been overly annoying yet. On an unrelated note, I also sometimes hear a "clicking sound" when hitting the back arrow in EDGE. I think there are a few issues with the Intel Graphics that hopefully will be cleared up.

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Your sleep report looks different than mine. Are you using the powercfg/sleepstudy command? When you look at the battery "offenders" what is it showing? Mine is flagging the Intel Integrated Graphics. Also, my machine is never entering connected standby, so you are doing somewhat better than me...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

I am definitely no expert in sleep vs hibernation, but from my layman's reading on it before making the switch, Hibernation is essentially shutting the computer completely off anyway. However, before doing that, it writes all of the information in RAM to a temporary location on the hard drive...

    Solved Boot time issues

The significant battery drain during sleep is definitely a problem that I am inflicted with. Others have reported it as well and it is also going on with the Surface Book. There is a long thread on Reddit on it. I resorted to changing the settings to go directly into hibernation until it gets...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

For now, I have resorted to Gorilla tactics on the sleep issue. I changed everything to go directly into hibernation. The PRO4 boots pretty quick from hibernation, so it is really not much of an inconvenience. I did another sleep test last night after making this change and that got rid of most...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Just ran another sleep test for just about and hour. Lost 24% in 54 min which is pretty much the same battery consumption when I was using the computer browsing. The back of the tablet was a little warm when I picked it up, but the fan wasn't running. The sleep test indicates the following top...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Based on some real limited testing, I am losing 20-28% battery life every hour with light web browsing on EDGE. That equates to 3.5-5 hours of total battery life. That's really disappointing. If this turn out to be consistently true, I am going to not feel so great about spending all of the $$...

Solved SP4 Still Active In Sleep

Hello...I am having terrible battery life issues on surface pro 4. Can someone take a peak at my sleep report and let me know what. It looks like I have lots of crazy things going on and it is above my head. Seems like I never going into a low power state. Appreciate any assistance. Thanks!

Surface Pro (Win 8.1) cant find Push2Tv 3000.

I am experiencing the same problem. Worked fine until I upgraded from Windows 8.1 Preview to Windows 8.1 Final on Thursday night. Marvell driver is up to date. I guess I will try the most recent PTV3000 driver, but I am not optimistic that this will fix it. It works fine with my android...
