the usb 3 Ethernet and spare ports arrived yesterday. had to install drivers, but works a treat on the surface pro. get internet and three more ports. cable is a little tight at the moment, not much give, but I think it will loosen with time.

just ordered this, a usb 3 Ethernet port but with 3 usb 3 ports too! will let you know how I get along with it, but a german amazon review said it worked fine with the surface pro...

I know it is not the same as the full backup mentioned here, but anyone tried the File History app in Windows 8 (on the pro)?
