Consider that the i3 version only has 64GB storage, and that Visual Studio takes several GB of disk space. You might be ok, but will be tight with space. If you could wait a bit more and save up for the i5-128GB you would probably be better off.

Well, technically this thread is about pre-orders, anyway I ordered my SP3 i7-256 today! I should get it in a few days. I hope it doesn't arrive too early, because I have to work very hard in the next 10 days or so! :p I also pre-ordered the docking station, which in Europe becomes available...

Uhm... something is moving. The Swiss electronics store updated the availability status for all four colors to "approx. end of September". If it only were a bit earlier... 23rd or 24th would still be fine.

I think the problem here is not not knowing a detail, but claiming that they know and insisting even when asked if they were sure. It would have been OK if they had just said "Sorry, I don't know", but there is no justification for this.

@jbates99: why not buying the official SP3 docking station? You sound like the kind of user who would profit from that. If the price is not a problem, the official should be better than any USB based docking station, as it uses a dedicated and faster bus.

I don't think this is "a simple software fix". Scaling is not just about how objects are displayed, it really changes how big they are. Supporting different scaling depending on the monitor would mean that objects can instantly change their dimensions in pixels (height, width...) whenever moved...
