the sp3 is still working as normal like when it was with the maroo. It does get a bit warm after running videos from youtube but on maroo its warm too, and the fan was hardly audible the whole time. Mine is the i7. And the casing does have vents on the top of the sp3 (when in landscape mode)...

Lying might not be the right qord for it. The '2 years in making' is just maybe the time they used to convert a vision to a product. The vision to create a hybrid laptop/tablet could be there since years ago but there are other factors to be considered too.

Im using maroo folio leather case with Mime ghost glass screen protector on sp3. Its a very high quality case. Having said that, im waiting for my trident case cyclops to arrive. U cannot use the sp3 stand with maroo but its ok with cyclops
