There is a metal strip in the back that would let the stand stay closed. I had a case that didnt allow the stand to close all the way and the metal strip was slowly pulled off by the high power magnets. The strip is just held in place with glue.

I just saw this UAG Case for Surface 3. OMG I want it. It has all the things you would want for the S3 and SP3. Unfortunatly, it obviously will not fit the SP3. Wonder if they will make a case like it for the SP3. Note the pen holder, that is not on the current UAG SP3 case...

I have plenty of air flow around my SP3 when I use it for gaming. If you have it in a poor vented area it will be super easy for it to get hot and throttle. Just having an external desk fan blowing seems to be enough to stop it for me.

For me it has always been that I have to bring the mouse cursor to the very top of the screen that the app is on and the bar pops up after about 1 second. I have never noticed a "right click" causing the bar to show up. Also I would close with offscreen swipe on tablet from very top to bottom...
