That's a quite nasty issue you got there! My initial thoughts are that your SSD is broken and cannot be addressed. Did you contact Microsoft support on this?

I think especially in the reporting of the battery level something is wrong. Is this all on Windows 10 1903?

I have had this on all three of my Surface Pro devices. On several builds. Glad to find more people have this. I just didn't have the time to properly research it :)

I don't think it is really frustration. However, in stores, I do notice the keyboards don't look really fancy over time... If cleaning them is a good option, they should do that!

I would go for the sp2017. I think the "old" i7 will outperform the "new" i5. Furthermore you'll be very happy with the added RAM! Only thing to keep in mind is that the i5 is passive cooled and the i7 has fan cooling. However, Microsoft has done a splendid job in silencing that!

@sharpuser He wants to go from "installed on SP4" to "installed on SP5". I think that would even be very hard when going from SP4 to SP4 Most likely it is going to cause you more trouble than time saving. You should regard configuring a new tablet as unwrapping a gift :)
