Good news - on my test machine, Juniper VPN client works on 10061. Since it was a registry issue it is likely that other 3rd party VPN clients will also work again.

Saw on the insider forum that one of the windows team members acknowledged screwing up VPNs on 10049, and that they probably won't fix it on the next build. As a result, I had to drop back to 8.1, and I can't believe how much I'd gotten used to 10 already. 8.1 just seems blah now.

OK, so I rolled back to 10041, but now I want to try 10049 again. I'm set to the fast ring, but 10049 is not showing up as available. Is there some way I can convince it that it is there, or do I have to wait for the ISO's now?

I was able to use "Update & Recovery". I selected Recovery from the left hand pane, and "Go back to a previous version of Windows" worked for me.

I'm not convinced they "messed it up" yet. I installed 9926 from ISO, then updated to 10041, now another update to 10049. Juniper VPN is kind of fussy, for example I have to run the webpage that launches it in IE using compatibility mode. I'm wondering if doing a refresh after the update...

Build 10049 seemed ok for me at first, but then I couldn't get Juniper VPN client working, which is a show stopper for me. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, etc, but no luck. Rollback to 10041 worked like a charm! so I'll have to try again later.... maybe....

Every other day or so, I get a notification that says "Click here to enter your most recent credentials. Your Microsoft account needs you to sign in again.". When I click it, it takes me to my account page in settings, with nothing to do. Ignoring it doesn't seem to cause any issue.

Downloading for me.... I have many other updates available also though, because I just installed office 2013, and am getting those updates too.

I just read an article that said displaylink will be slow unless you use an Aero desktop theme, because the standard themes don't use the gpu. The poster did say that once they enabled Aero, the performance was great.

I'm a fan - Coming from the original Surface 128, now the 3 with 256. I find that the extra screen size with the lighter weight and thinness is perfect for me, and I'm taking advantage of the tablet use more than I used to. I use OneNote and the pen daily for work, and don't even carry paper.
