Just curious if I bought the unit at best buy ..could I take it in to a microsoft store for a warranty replacement and hope they exchange the unit with a new one as well?

What kind of tests are going to show i5 and i7 as equals besides the power button test...in the power button test ..when the power button is depressed both of the models would be equal as they would both turn off, sleep, or hibernate depending on how they were configured :)

I tried this just out of curiosity and since I have experienced 2 blue screens coming out of hibernation...so I checked the box back...we'll see if that was the culprit..wifi seemed to connect right away tho on the times it didn't blue screen...but getting blue screens kinda trumps over the...

The only good excuse not buying an SP3 is not having the money...but that is what credit cards are for :D

My sweet spot was the i7 256GB..didn't need the extra space of 512GB and if I did I could always upgrade it with an sdcard :)

I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but I read somewhere on this forum about the power management tab on this marvel driver which is originally checked to allow to turn off to save battery...well I unchecked it just to see if it would fix the wifi issue coming out of hibernation but...

kinda disappointed there isnt more customization available in this surface hub for the top button..only can assign it to open one note mui or desktop

just curious try deleting your calibration info from the calibration tool in control panel and do not calibrate it..then test out if you still have the issue...

that is the best battery life i have ever seen!! :D

that happened to me once...screen blacked out but still seemed it was on due to vibrating windows button..after continued power button pressing after several minutes rebooted eventually

Just be careful with it inside your pocket...likes to bend...pretty flimsy design
