Hey, should I be concerned that after updating to the latest firmware today, I noticed a red line running across the middle of my desktop? While I noticed it, it just vanished. Is this a bad sign? I just got this updated SP2 last month with the latest CPU (1.9).

Hey guys, I have a ton of updates due for my system and I noticed that firmware 10/24/13 is listed. This is a new SP2 Lot 1402. Should I install this firmware or do I skip it?

I missed the return window, so I'll keep checking with the MS store. I'm getting irritated with the constant creaking of my screen every time I handle it. It feels like there is a built in track pad under the screen.

If I bought mine at Best Buy, is it better to bring it back to the BB store or MS Store and get a replacement unit there vs. mailing it back to the manufacturer? I already received a commitment by a MS store manager that they will replace it at the store, but they never have them in stock.

Thanks, I may try that! Hopefully this issue didn't cause harm to our Surface Pro 2's by sticking them in our bag and the Microsoft firmware not allowing it to sleep. I can't imagine Apple sitting on a problem like this knowing it is causing their laptops to heat up in bags.
