I'll go against the grain here. My primary usage is pdf annotation. If the ipad pro could do that as well as or better than the SP3, then I would definitely buy one and at least give it a try. If it had other benefits like increased battery life, then I'd probably even keep it.

There is an option in mouse settings to disable the delay. I don't have my sp3 with me right now so I can't point you to it exactly, but it's there in the metro ui settings if you go to mouse settings.

For what it's worth I've had to exchange some SP3s, and I also encountered one that peaked at about 125 MBps write. It was also an i5 128GB. So I do think it's possible that there's a slower SSD in some units, but I bought mine from the MS store, so they aren't limited to microcenter.

I actually prefer plastic. Lighter and generally just as durable. Also, often it's less slippery. I'm sick of the obsession with "beautiful" devices and wish that obsession would change to "functional."

Hah no worries I'm going to exchange it for a new one. The two i5s were best buy, the i7 was from the MS store. Hoped I would have better luck there, but I guess not. So yeah I probably will just do a refund and a repurchase, to reset the 30 day return window.
