Yes Arnold it is the right way up and I pushed it in and locked but it doesn't get recognized. Only if im taking out or inserting the card and I push it right it and hold it there it will recognize. But the second I let go it will disappear of file explorer.

The play and charge kit doesn't send data through to the surface for using it like a actual controller. All it does is charge it and wont allow you to use it like a controller even if there are drivers for it. Trust me, I learnt the hard way ;)

That could be a hardware issue on the surface, or a problem with the micro sd card. Try the micro sd card on another tablet or computer if possible and give that a try. Otherwise contact Microsoft support.
