I just got some bare bones Fresh Win 8.1 VHDs (Ent and Pro) booting on SPro3 via Native Boot. Pretty easy using DISM. I also downloaded the latest SPro3 Driver/ FW packages (MSI and ZIP) and installed them. It gets WiFi working but doesnt get all the keys working the same way as existing...

@malberttoo - When I am plugged in to AC Wall adapter with SPro 3, do I really care about power conservation? That's an issue only when a person is mobile and not on AC. So power step down would be understandable, but step up is needed. Great report. Thanks. I am going to go for a 2Tb one.

Does it? Have you tested that out with X number of devices. If enough external HDDs that also are said to be USB 3 and USB 2 compliant are having issues with SP3, doesnt it call for an "unbiased" checking? PS: WiFi, BT, My Pen does not PAIR.. (Googled the pen issue and its quite prevalant)

My X61T (7 years old) can support an external HD that I have but SP3 wont. And then people tell me that this should be standard. I think we should get MS to address these HARDWARE issues as they have not been in the business for too long.
