Don't know, wish they all used WiFi so I could free up my one USB port... I do know that mouse use is a lot more precise with a dongle-use mouse than a Bluetooth one.

I know someone who has one they use with a dedicated media server -- they like it. They are able to use it with their Samsung non-Bluetooth SmartTV by plugging the USB dongle into one of the available ports. If possible where you live, check Amazon's pricing -- here in the states, it's $25US...

Same thing happened with mine -- I contacted support and said I'd pay to send mine in and have it cleaned, the person I spoke with said to handle it as a warranty claim -- they shipped a replacement (brand new) keyboard in a box with a shipping label for me to return the first one.

All the more reason for iTunes Match ;-) It has built in memory management, downloads songs as you play them and keeps them around as long as there is space. iOS automatically dumps tracks that you've previously streamed/downloaded if space is need elsewhere.

It is apparently fixed in new versions of the Avastar chipset, so any device that has the 350N has the same issue. Would be less of an issue if there were a straightforward way to force a 5ghz connection in the settings of my SP2.

Paper towels are fibrous to glass surfaces, especially optical glass and shouldn't be used regularly -- you'll see a build up micro-scratches with repeated use of paper towels, etc. Clean cotton towels are good. Micro fiber cloths are fine, as long as you regularly clean or replace them.

Better still, register it online when you purchase it -- I did and have received 2 brand new ones when issues arose -- called in and they were able to reference my online registration with serial numbers by my email address.

Not really competing products -- those buying the new MacBook likely don't know of or wouldn't consider a Surface Pro -- same for Surface Pro purchasers. It's great the marketplace gives us choices. Regardless, we'll eventually see the Microsoft ads comparing the 2, unless they finally wise up...
