Are you sure your using the DGPU in Edge because the default is the Intel graphics.? You have to go to the Nvidia Control panel to switch to use the DGPU. Plus the error your getting says not responding which means the connection has an issue not a display error. If your near a MS store I...

I store media also mostly Videos. I have the MS Display adapter and I broadcast to my TV. It's never a good idea to fill up your SSD. Also I never use the SB to watch videos in tablet mode even on a plane.

If you using it more as a tablet go for the SP4. The battery life of the SB using the clipboard is just over 2 hours but you can use the power adapter. The chord isn't really that long.

Go to Best Buy and get your hands on what they have on display. I went into Best Buy looking at the Surface Pro 4 and I came out thinking the Surface Book. Mainly because the price with Pro 4 and keyboard isn't that far from the SB.
