If you have another PC go to the Microsoft Support chat and they will guide you through troubleshooting. Then they will email you a Fedex mailing slip. I got mine back in about a week and it was over Thanksgiving and I received it on the Friday the day after Thanksgiving.
Well not how it works but any electronics purchased from Costco comes with 2 year factory. I'm sure you could get a 1 year after that.

Well the Surface Pro was just announced and hasn't been released. The Surface Laptop hasn't been released yet. I expect the Surface Book 2 will be released shortly. I expect new models with the next Windows update in Fall.
I got one from MS which is a 2 year with accidental. You just take it to MS store and they replace. The first SB I got I had problems and it was right before the thanksgiving break. I tried to decide which way I would get the SB back the fastest. I sort of figured it could be on back order at BB...
The target market is the college student and Professors. They are even trying to add apps to the store for this target market. They are even targeting Office in the store to this target group.
The Non-Win32 apps have small footprints unlike the Win32 Desktop. Office 2016,2013,2010 and 2007 are win32 apps and I would install on the larger drive.
Well i purchased the i5, 8gb, 256 GB with a DGPU. I also added a 200 GB Mini SD card with an adapter. I value the disk space so for me I would go the minimum of 256 gb.
Sounds like your profile is corrupt. If you create a new profile (account) and and then tie it to the MS account you downloads the apps under and they work will confirm it's a corrupt profile.
