Well there is a vulnerability tool out there from Intel. It will tell you if your device is affected and my Surface Book said it was affected. As far as the fix MS will be adding to Tuesday security updates next week.
Well I purchased the Micro SSD adapter from Amazon to add storage space on my SB.

They are releasing a 13.5" and 15" Surface Book 2. The 13.5 will start at 1499 with a 7th generation Intel i5 and all the rest will have 8th generation Intel processors. The 15" will start at 2499.
I had that happen. Go into the device manager and look at the driver. Mine had a message the driver was corrupt. I removed it there and selected search for new hardware and it found the pen and installed the new driver and it worked and haven't had an issue since.
When I uninstalled the driver I did it in the device manager. I deleted the driver then hit search for new devices. I found the Pen and installed the driver.
I had a problem with that that I thought was the battery but it turned out to be a driver issue. I haven't replaced the battery in 18 months. Those batteries are hard to find. I went to Batteries Plus.
