I use screencast-o-matic and it works well on desktop applications (windows 8.1 and 10). It also works of the MUI onenote in windows 10 (just tested then). From memory, the MUI apps in windows 8.1 didn't work though.

Installed 2016 beta and still have the issue. Ink disappearing still happens although not as bad. Will roll back to 8.1/2013 again!

I am also still seeing issues with inking / right hold getting stuck etc on Win 10 / OneNote 2013. (Did the updates which improved the ink disappearing ... but not 100%) Will try the 2016 beta again (although I know it is incompatible with some crucial macros I need to run...)

Apparently a patch for office has been released. Do an update (office update) and see if it works. I'll hold off updating to Win 10 until it looks to be good.

The Microsoft thread I'm monitoring (see post #5) indicates that they (Microsoft) are hoping to have an update tomorrow about this issue. Hope it is a software/firmware fix rather that a "we're still looking at it update" and I can them move to Win 10.

Am interest in anyone using the desktop client for onenote can confirm the disappearing ink issue has been squashed. I've read on the microsoft forums that turning the touch hold for right click off and/or switching to left handed mode is a work around.

I've had this issue as well. On the Microsoft forums I got this reply from a Microsoft person who seemed to know what was going on. Me: "I've just installed the windows 10 10240 release and run it with office 365 (onenote 2013 up to date), and have found the disappearing text to be such a pain...

I've been running across a disappearing ink issue with OneNote 2014 and 2016 preview on my SP3 when running the latest Win 10. I've had to go back to 8.1 as OneNote is unworkable until it is fixed (using the pen a lot). Anyone else with the issue? Or a work around? See link of feedback about...

I've notices a similar issue (maybe completely unrelated but worth considering). When the charger is plugged in the pen sometime glitches and I think it was towards the bottom of the screen as well. Could be related to poor grounding on the charger? - I notice it is worse on my cheap...

Yes, I was afraid I would need a third party to get involved. I can't believe that there is no way to speak to anyone at Microsoft/Surface who will give me an update or email me back with any information. Surely there is some sort of department that is senior to these others?
