I'm quite pleased with build 10049. Spartan loads quickly and webpages load instantly. It does seem to take a bit longer to boot but everything else seems faster overall. I still have the wake up problem with the external monitor, but that's been a problem since W8.

Yes. Waking from sleep is problematic, but I have a better cable on the way, so hoping that will fix it. With the last build, videos were pretty choppy. 10041 is a lot better but I do see a "chop" or two here and there still.

SP3 i5 256GB with docking station, LG 3840x1440 Ultrawide monitor connected to docking station with DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable. Works great except for when it goes to sleep -- waking up is a crap shoot.

Every time I shutdown, I get an error. I think it's the same type of error that was reported previously, something to do with memory access. Behind the error, there's a list of a bunch of system programs that appear to be waiting in line to shut down. Then it looks like it shuts down, but...

Ditto, even when running Chrome with lots of extensions installed. It was pretty normal for me in W8 to have 30% or more CPU usage when doing basically nothing. I'm currently enjoying 3%. Amazing.

Had some initial wackiness with the extended display via docking station, but a reboot squared that away. Was just watching a video on Facebook and got a BSoD with the BAD_POOL_CALLER error.

I'm using that exact monitor with a mini-displayport to displayport and it works pretty great. Waking up from sleep is problematic most of the time, but I doubt that's a problem with the monitor. Seems to be a common problem with the SP3 in general.

Like everyone else, I got the Technical Preview security update (KB3039066) a couple days ago. This morning, I was greeted with another Technical Preview security update (KB3046049). I'm glad to at least see some action going on around here. :)

I took the plunge into W10 and am quite pleased with it. Initially there was a lot of fan noise, but that's was while it was syncing with OneDrive and Google Drive and installing updates, which is the same situation with a fresh install of W8. Now that that's over, it's quiet as a church mouse...

I'm quite pleased with my Knomo Knomad for SP3, even though it is a bit expensive. It's worth it for my peace of mind though. :)

The first one was batch #1426. The second (working) one is batch #1441.

Yes. I could do it with the old docking station also, but it had some major issues when plugging and unplugging USB peripherals. Everything seems to work just fine with the new one.

I received my new one a while back and it's like night and day. What an improvement! Everything works, even coming back out of sleep.

This was exactly my experience. I'm getting a new one and it's on the way.

They never said anything about that but I did buy it in the MS Store.
