    Battery Degradation

iPads do not even offer the functionality to view these statistics, but that doesn't mean they behave differently. As I previously stated, and as you clearly ignored, every device that uses a Li-Ion battery is subjected to battery wear. The battery wears, and it then requires recalibration...

SP3 goes to sleep playing Microsoft Silverlight

Use the Windows Mobility Center. Type "mblctr" on Start to find it. From here, activate presentation mode to prevent your computer from sleeping.

    Battery Degradation

The battery report is an advanced feature of Windows. If you don't know anything at all about CMD, then you probably have no need for a battery report.

    Battery Degradation

Your argument is that you want to calibrate the battery without calibrating it. Oh, and blaming Microsoft for the way Li-Ion batteries work. So yes, it is silly.

Why can't I resume a PDF where I left off from before?

I just gave it a quick test, and it's displaying all of my annotations from Drawboard completely wrong - just big blobs of highlighter all over the page. Tested with Acrobat Pro and everything displays fine. The app looks like it has potential but they need to sort their compatibility.

My Surface Pro 3 (i3) is underperforming and then some

I wouldn't recommend trying. This i3 is newer, but the i5 from the SP1 should perform better.

Why can't I resume a PDF where I left off from before?

Looks like that is just a reader? I see about 7 listings from the same company, but they all have "Reader" written in them.

    New N-Trig Pen

I wouldn't want to go back to hard nibs. I was always weary of scratching the screen with my SP2 pen, because if I dropped it, and the tip became deformed, that could easily cause damage. I like that with soft tips, it's not an issue.

Why can't I resume a PDF where I left off from before?

I got it on that discount. I like to have 10 or more PDFs open. Notes from different lectures and homework sheets, stuff I'm working through, and it crashes pretty much daily. What would you say is the better Android version of a PDF annotator?

Why can't I resume a PDF where I left off from before?

Drawboard allows me to pick up where I left off... until it crashes when I open a PDF and then they all close.

    Moving Data from IPad

I assumed since you had your SP3 for months, you must have already met the Charms bar. GreyFox filled you in, just add the accounts to the apps.

    Moving Data from IPad

Open the Mail, Calendar and People apps, and in these apps, add your icloud account. Do this by opening the Charms menu > Options > Accounts. I think this should sync these areas of your Apple cloud to your Microsoft cloud. You can also add your icloud account to Outlook 2013.

Why does the Surface Pro 3 get a bad rap in the media? My take.

I also didn't use the start screen initially. I didn't upgrade from Win 7 initially either. Only reason I upgraded was because apparently Battlefield 4 ran a bit better on Win 8 vs Win 7 as it supported a newer version of DirectX. Even after upgrading, I didn't use the start screen until after...

Why does the Surface Pro 3 get a bad rap in the media? My take.

That announcement event still annoys me. They gave SP3s to people who had no idea how to review computers. The amount of reviews I saw referring to the charging port as a speaker, claiming there was no micro-SD slot, or just talking a lot of stuff that was completely wrong blew me away.

Why does the Surface Pro 3 get a bad rap in the media? My take.

An iPad isn't capable of standing toe-to-toe with my SP3 in terms of my tablet usage. It doesn't run any of the software I need to use in tablet mode and it doesn't support any of the peripherals I use. Maybe for casuals an iPad could be more suitable. I say more suitable, not better, because...

    Drilling sound on SP3

You can argue that the device was manufactured to a poorer standard than you would expect, as other SP3s (like mine) do not do this.

Win 10, Sp4 and Office Gemini - released simultaneously. That's what I think.

    Battery Degradation

I am understanding what you are saying. However, you are not understanding me. To my knowledge, Apple also recommends this kind of battery care. If you do not calibrate the battery in your MacBook, your battery reports will not be accurate - simple as. It is no different. You don't need to be...

    Drilling sound on SP3

A bit out of the return window then. I hope your retailer sorts it out quick.
