I was already deeply pleased with my Surface RT, now I'm amazed by it.

I am enjoying my Surface RT, but I don't see much indication that it's being supported in a way that gives it a future. I could be wrong, and even hope I am. If all it ever is is what it is, I paid too much but got something out of it. If it becomes what it could be...well, only time will tell.

I probably split the time pretty evenly between using the Surface on my lap and on a desktop or table. On a desktop or table it's perfect. For lap use I need a lap desk, usually I use a notebook (the kind with paper in it, not another computer). Works good for me. I voted yes.

I noticed a lot of wear when I used the touch cover. I've switched to the type cover, and I use the thing a lot, been using it six weeks and it still looks brand new.

I don't find it to be useable sitting on my lap by itself. I have a box that's 1.5" thick, and 12" x 15", it works perfectly as a lap desk for the surface.
