Agreed, Microsoft has left the tablet market. What they created, in the ARM devices, met my needs. Screen size and product size of RT and S2 met my needs. Now they've decided it doesn't meet theirs? Microsoft, it will be hard to trust you in the future.

It's financially doable right at the moment, that's the only real reason. The RT charger is getting a little sensitive to positioning and there was a full moon this month.

I am surprised if the RT doesn't have a future. The RT has met my needs wonderfully. The size meets my needs and capabilities are exactly what I need them to be. I don't require the greater capabilities of the PRO, and I don't want to pay for them. I'm not saying I won't, but I don't want to.

I hope they don't just let it die. I don't need the extra abilities and price of the pro, the size of the rt suits me, upgrading it would be great.

So, I went to Best Buy yesterday, intending to buy a Surface 2. They no longer carry them. Guess I waited too long.

I was thinking of picking up an S2 during this discount cycle. Probably just keep mine, or hand it off to the wife, though. I don't often sell things that have had my personal information on them. I just have a pile of old stuff.

My response is probably out of place and untimely. I was never a Mac user, although I did try an IPad for a while. I also don't use a Pro, I use the original Surface RT. The RT has all but replaced my old laptop (some kind of Samsung). The only thing I still use the laptop for is PowerPoint...

Full power off and on fixed it. Thought I had done that, but tried it again and now it works like before.

Yesterday my RT stopped working as a touch screen device. I can still use it using the keyboard, but there's no swiping or touching links or anything like that. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I may get those functions back?
