Uninstalling the Cisco VPN client fixed it. I am now screaming along on 10. Used it today in front of customers for an hour solid during presentations and it worked flawlessly.

I did have the Cisco VPN client installed. I have reverted back to Windows 8.1 and have uninstalled it. I will try the upgrade again.

So I just did the upgrade to the official Win 10 release. I have no wireless networks available, but the Marvell AC controller is in the Device Manager. I have tried uninstalling it multiple times. I also tried refreshing the system, but it says it can't find the recovery environment. I tried...

I would do the pen and screen calibration. That sounds like what you need.

Use the Intel Driver Update Utility. It finds the update and installs it even if you have the 4029 driver. Windows Update did not offer it to me. Does anyone have a changes list for this new driver?

New updates always cause indexing folks. It isn't a big deal. Indexing heats up the unit. Everything goes back to normal when it finishes. The hardware update that just came out exposes additional functionality for the pen and Surface app and is not a change to anything major. Move along folks...

HI Mark. Just chiming in that I tested it myself on an SP3 and it works well. No lockups or slowdowns.

No 802.11ac and only 4.5 hours of battery life? No thanks. Not going back in time. Not the right fit for me.

I have had both. The only place I really noticed a difference (and was important to me) was gaming. I want to be able to game on mine in addition to doing work. The gaming is superior. Don't put a case on it that insulates the back panel and if possible point a USB fan at the spot on the back...

Try the process in the following link. MS would like you to use the driver that they have tested extensively, and when you use the chipset drivers you may find weird stuff. You might also get awesome gaming performance at the risk of some quirky behavior ;-)...

So you get to use the Power Cover with an SP3 and it covers up the fact that it doesn't quite match. Plus you add %50 more battery life. That is a win win to me.
