I agree that MS needs to fix the issues post haste. Yes MS has issued an apology and promise that fixes are imminent. Whatever that might mean. One should not have these issues, but unfortunately these are all too common with MS.

That is bizarre. I would certainly send both the unit and pen back for replacement. Haven't heard of this before.

I haven't used either one. Though I have had good luck with SanDisk and Samsung in general. I currently have a SanDisk 128 GB in my Surface Pro 1, and have had zero issues. Will probably get a SanDisk 200 GB for the Surface 4 at some point.
